too soon to tell

too soon to tell

A Poem by Emily B
"

my muse is scaring me today

"

you asked me once

if I could live without you

and I didn't know what to say

I suppose

I might throw myself off a small porch

I might put myself in the way of a bicycle

Not to be dramatic

     but I might surrender myself

     to the murky mud puddle

don't imagine that I don't love you

don't imagine that I don't want you

but I lived without you before

. oh ... this is such an amazing gem of a poem ... you've got to feature this, dearest emily ... so many of us can relate to your words ... i think they breathe life ... they speak of a kind of resilience that is about facing reality as much as it is about dreams ... absolutely awe-inspiring work ... loved this post ...
