A Poem by Emily B

I find you in the places I least expect.

I saw you in the neighbor's pond last week.

Vibrations of lessons soon to be learned
made orange leaves ripple prettily on the water.

Last night I reached for you in a dream
and spread silent wings skyward.

You walk beside me no matter where I go.

I find you in the places I least expect.

The search keeps me walking

and leads me back to you.

ha the "You walk beside me no matter where I go." made me think of a shadow - which this poem could apply to, but I'm sure would lack the intensity - unless shadow was to be lover maybe hmm maybe - either way I like that - reflections in the most odd places, it's always the way - when you look though - you won't find

I like the way all these thoughts come together and culminate in those beautiful last two lines:
"The search keeps me walking
and leads me back to you."

Love is about one of the least complicated things to be found in the human heart. Left on its own, it is so right. Thinking, planning, scheming, possessing, envying...these are the things which contort its true shape.

And the labyrinth of life takes us back to where and to whom we belong...

I am suitably inspired this morning from your poem and Fabians review below. Finding our way back is always a good thing, keeps us grounded. This writing does alot of that for me, absolutely amazing.

A friend once told me they had no use for "church" because the mountains were all of God they needed to know. I told my friend that his heart was all of God he needed to know and the mountains just pulled the spirit out for him to see. We decided together that love wasn't so complicated after all. This is beautiful Emily...and so are you. (((hug))).
