going

going

A Poem by Emily B
"

early yet . . . still growing

"

I’m going to step out

of these shoes today.

Wander off

somewhere

solitary and alone.

I don’t need to be needed

this time.

Not tempted to fix anybody

not even myself.

It’s time to re-acquaint

myself with that old stranger,

me.

I love the title, the message and the analogy of this piece. It is something we all need to do at times to stay current within ourselves. An excellent piece and it is going into my favorites...
