going

going

A Poem by Emily B
"

early yet . . . still growing

"

I’m going to step out

of these shoes today.

Wander off

somewhere

solitary and alone.

I don’t need to be needed

this time.

Not tempted to fix anybody

not even myself.

It’s time to re-acquaint

myself with that old stranger,

me.

Very few words with so much feeling. I too need to do a walk-a-bout!

step out of those shoes, Emily. Do something that makes you feel good. I know a lot of selfish women. Then, I know a few really special ones that aren't selfish at all.

Your a special one. :)

Oh! Emily so very well captured was this. You needn't say more. You have such a gentle yet a very striking way with words that it is simply amazing. It takes a lot in life when you finally reach that position when you stand up for yourself and say it is time to re acquaint myself with me.I am happy for you.
Sorry if my review is sounding tired and half done,it is just night here and i am a bit sleepy.
Emily your words find a way to my heart instantly and speak to me..thank you.

Oh, I walk in these shoes.... Love, love, love the message.... I wonder just how long it takes us to know who we are...? Enjoy the solitude, my friend... I bet you find just how much you like being you.... I mean that.
