maybe

maybe

A Poem by Emily B

I stopped singing siren songs

some time ago.

My voice faltered.

My heart skipped

notes

til I forgot all the words.

No more songs.

When I am one again,

I will speak the words

sweet and slow.

And maybe

write the gracious invitation

on an elegant card

with all my best letters.

Lets see: ok , i love the title: i m maybe man myself. but no more can i review. i m left stunned and speechless by this beautiful poem

I love the authenticity of your work. You captured this inward feeling well, and yet there is visualization of those fancy invitations and within this lies the hope... nicely done...

I really enjoyed this. Almost...desperation. but no....more hope wrapped in sadness, which is often the best wrapping anyway

A delightful, if sad poem... so well expressing the sense of someone no longer feeling they can reach out to another... But not without hope, for one day the invitation will be simply wonderful...
