just knowing

just knowing

A Poem by Emily B
"

it may grow

"

I took a walk one rainy fall evening

as if I could leave behind

the dark cloud of unease

that I couldn't explain.

The neighbor's pond called to me;

orange and red-leaved trees

stood tall against the horizon,

every brilliant leaf reflected back

from the rippling water.

In a moment, I realized

that my churning insides

moved in time with

the red and orange shimmering of the water

I was part of the vibrations I witnessed.

The realization brought tears

that were neither sad nor glad

just knowing

I love those fleeting moments of knowing. This poem describes so well that I can almost feel the sensation myself. We are all part of the natural world, we are like leaves floating on the water. A beautiful vision as well as depth is to be found in this poem.

This reminds me of an earlier poem of yours (was it in the Fall? grins) When we realise that what we feel is just the way it is, there is a sense of relief... Life is life. Nice cameo.

It's times like this that let us know why? How we are meant to be.. beautiful:-)

Great feeling in this one. Those perfect moments when the charades melt away and the smoke of cares disperse and you get a brief moment to see and understand things as they really are.
