I love those fleeting moments of knowing. This poem describes so well that I can almost feel the sensation myself. We are all part of the natural world, we are like leaves floating on the water. A beautiful vision as well as depth is to be found in this poem.
I love how you've described the leaving of "unease" behind to commune with nature. "I was part of the vibrations I witnessed. The realization brought tears that were neither sad nor glad - just knowing." How hard it is to make it through times of disequilibrium to enjoy the brief peace of equilibrium we sometimes reach. Is it a cycle of learning? This made me stop and think about how frenetic my life has been lately. Your writing flows and is a joy to read. Thank you. - Mimi.
What breathtaking images you have conjured with your magical pen. The rain, the colours, the pond rippling....remembering.... finally having gained the sophistication of understanding what we were is necessary to be what we are...
This one brought a tear to my eye, and I mean that...
Nature has a way of calming us, of putting everything in it's perspective. I remember once when I had a terific upset in my life and I walked in the rain, I felt the same way, part of the earth. It did not take away the pain, but I felt like nature was crying with me. It was a great help. This poem reminded me of that time.
It is always magical to find oneself in harmony with the Path. I particlularly like that this piece starts with trying to escape and ends with finding yourself, or at least, the part of oneself that is interconnected to all other things.
reflection, realization and resolution..the second and third stanzas especially blew me away..even the first time I read them.
often it's better to just feel and express than strain to explain..you let it flow through you..that's all that can be asked of you or anyone in these situations.
to the Lost Boys
I am no Wendy;
but my voice brings you back to me.
And you sit around my feet,
anxious for a story
or a kiss.
Listening to my words
spinning adventures,
like so much g.. more..
