1 Day until Christmas . . .

family members have been coming in all day. Cousins, aunts, uncles . . . each gets a kiss and a hug as they take off their winter cloaks. There has been much laughter in our house today. Stories are being told in every room as everyone catches up. After supper there will be music. the banjo, fiddle and guitar will fill our rooms with merry sounds as we all sing the songs that are dear to us.

You drew me in and I loved the style of this writing. The short chapters make me feel like it is a verbal slide show...a picture of life at home in those times. This was sweet and well done, I think.
