riding dreams

riding dreams

A Poem by Emily B

It's something about

dreams I can't remember

when my mind rambles on

running through hidden rhythms

looking for something greener.

It's something about

meeting you there in the mists

in-between natural conversation

and forgotten memories.

Having known you

and lost you and found you,

I still grieve those vacant hours

always harder before the rain comes.

It's something about

the way you hold my hand--

I'm sure of it--even if,

I can't remember how it felt.

What a wonderful poet you are, and what an illusive, beautiful painting of someone you love inside a dream you've given us! "I still grieve those vacant hours always harder before the rain comes" very profound and almost a seperate thought from the rest of the poem, still so well written; my favorite lines of the poem. Maybe because the whole poem strummed my heart-strings. Beautifully done, Emily. xx - Mimi.

this is subtle..yet aches. The addition of emotion while it rains was enchanting and somehow heartbreaking. Lovely write.

I think this is about the mind wandering back without the heart. The mind actually remembers but the heart doesn't---so much like the love that never was. This is an interesting read.

That's sweet. Because I read it twice, and the words just flowed perfectly. But at the same time it's a pretty vague poem. I read it twice, but I can't say that I understand every part of it. I love that.

This poem is intriguing. I have had those dreams of someone, though I can not picture their face. And they make me feel alive inside, and my heart race. It seems I can feel them near me in my dreams, but in reality they disappear, and they are no where to be found. I believe that dreams introduce us to things and people we do not even know, kind of like a premonition. I hope the man or woman of your dreams finds your hand in reality. Dont give up.

Beauitful poem and I love the descriptive words you used. It flowed together quite nicely. Well done :)

nice , interesting
deja vu and maybe a little reincarnation
if all thats true
we should know everyone by now
perhaps we just keep forgetting

memory is one of the most strangest feelings especially concerning love, whichever type, has you holding onto it into the last minute of things. thank you for sharing such a heartfelt poem :)
