A Poem by Emily B
"

A collaboration withy my special friend, An Ornery Gentleman. It is always a pleasure to mix words.

"

amazing when miracles

suddenly manifest

beach-birds rising and circling

high above the Audobon

mystery steeps in unfurled wings

we slow down

for a smile and a sigh

passing gracefully over

barely noticeable steps..

close and hollow..

ghost crabs ephemerally longing

for a moonbeam's generous hands

a universe dispatches

a casual touch

conflict, contrast..

each mating w/in its own species

the spirit is migratory..

eternal as we coexist naturally

lines are blurring

and separation becomes less apparent.

We are woven into the fabric

of the Universe.

we slow down

for a smile and a sigh

and you take my hand

And, yet, somehow

in transcendent moments

we are the miracles.

Yes, Emily, this was an absolute pleasure to write and read...when I got to "lines blurring", the magic of it just sort of washed over me in waves...
It's like I said when I first sent it to you..your essence was already flowing through the words.
From our earlier collaberations, etc..
it was nice dancing w/ you. A joy unparalleled by winning the lottery or anything material...
I'm gonna post my part as a separate piece w/ a link to yours, like the first, except the opposite.

This is a really fine poem, a Wordsworthian homage to nature, but also with small, fine intimate details, a big picture that ends with hands and smiles which make it personal and endearing. Lots to enjoy here, like ghost crabs and beach-birds,really like the name Audobon, names of places in America are somehow magical.
Great poem.

I am still dumbfounded by migration. Surely it is more spiritual than actual.
Hump back whales traveling six thousand miles to warm waters, birds
flying in their migration to open vistas and warmer breezes, or the great
leather back turtle traveling tens of thousands of miles going seemingly
no where at all (leaving warm climates to go to other warm climates to
lay their eggs.) I am a simple person. Should I conclude that all that I
dont understand is spiritual? hder astounding work.

There's such peace, near divinity in this writing, somehow two minds have moved in harmony, crossed minds and hearts and birthed beauty. Wonderful.

Life is a magic mystery that so many miss out on by not having an artist nature or a vision for things that are right in front of their eyes..So much to see if we only open our eyes to it..Kathie
