A Poem by Emily B
"

my contribution to the moon and me phenomenon going on lately

"

Here I sit

thinking of stars.

Thinking of you

under

those other stars.

Wanting to be up there

dancing

like the mortal moth.

The moon is bright.

The air is still.

Not damp. Not too cool.

Just clear.

With a sprinkling

of stars.

Let's stand barefoot

in dry grass

in an open field

under those stars.

Out where

nobody can see

and watch

the shadows fall.

Or walk out in darkness

finding

our halting way

fingers

twined loosely

step by step.

There is the moon, though.

And I believe,

somewhere,

the Creator

must be smiling.

I had a vision yesterday while my band was trying "Knocking on heaven 's door" for the first time...something about how some dude said jesus isn't home right now or something, so we smoked some heavenly pot, because it's the same as coffee up there...I was ridiculously tired, but I saw some interesting things in that vision. So yeah, "mortal moth"...reminded me of that a bit. (-;

one of most powerful reflective expressions, so knowingly fragile in its way of few words, I've read in last weeks. this poem is born for timeless success!

thank you, Emily!

dancing
like the mortal moth."

This is so light...in a time when there is so much negative...a glimmer of hope
