Success

Success

A Poem by Emily B
"

in pursuit of the Magnum Opus

"

as I am a child of the Universe,

I choose

to converse with angels.

Someday

I will learn

the powers that define

true grace.

I will be

my own Greatest Work

when I surrender.

I was moved by your poem and few I've read do that to me. I got choked up: one of the proofs for me that a poem holds a universe of emotion is that it can race my heart, blur my eyes, give a tremble to my lip. And this poem did that for me. And you end it with the word "surrender," which is the door through which you finally enter to learn all the answers that once clouded your mind.

This is a great way to look at the future! I love its brevity and simplicity, this poem wears them so well. It's so hopeful and cheerful in a quiet way - it has the confidence it needs to do whatever it wants while acknowledging that it will take time, effort and surrender. This is excellent and I love it.

The last line of this piece really sets it off "When I surrender." It says so, so much and compliments the pondering of your previous lines perfectly.

This is an absolutely beautiful write! Very profound in its essence!

The question and search of all living being about 'existence'.

Few words - powerful impact ...!

Kudos!

This is a very powerful piece that you've created. Although it's shorter than some of your other pieces, it feels very complete and closed at the end. Well done with this wonderful poem! :D
