Hope
A Poem by
Emily B
I fall
like Spring rain
sprinkling the ordinary
with imaginary color.
I drop
drop, drop
from an unseen Hand.
Waiting to be taken
up and begin again,
content in the pattern.

Emily, this is a beautiful representation of hope and hope's life it gives to us. Like rain, it renews us in every way. :)
“Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul
And sings the tune without the words
And never stops at all.”
― Emily Dickinson

Charming.
Born, and then reborn again.
Just as the Phoenix.

the rhthym of drop drop drop played nicely in this rain of hope - to be drawn up and begin again. This was a very comforting poem - thank you for that.

I like the theme. It's kinda reminds me of what goes up must come down except the other way around... :) What falls will eventually rise again.... which, quiet honestly, I like much better.

I love the analogies you made especially in the first stanza. it was beautiful. And the use of imagery was well played making this a good piece of writing.

Emily, I love your first stanza.
I fall
like Spring rain
sprinkling the ordinary
with imaginary color.
This is so alive! Alive with imagery and with feeling. I love the images that came to my mind when I read this piece. Your ending is perfect ... content. Gorgeous words!

A imagery to melt the fabric in mind... So well penned and with great care and yet simple like a flower in the wind.
Love and thoughts,
