Hope
A Poem by
Emily B
I fall
like Spring rain
sprinkling the ordinary
with imaginary color.
I drop
drop, drop
from an unseen Hand.
Waiting to be taken
up and begin again,
content in the pattern.

Emily, this is a beautiful representation of hope and hope's life it gives to us. Like rain, it renews us in every way. :)
“Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul
And sings the tune without the words
And never stops at all.”
― Emily Dickinson

My interpretation of this beautiful compassionate composition was an encapsulation of a “spiritual rebirth" of the human soul, contrasting against a physical birth experience.
Definitely has that ‘Hummm’ factor!

This gave me two visions of thought..One rain falling from the angels weeping, the other, the dripping of paint from my paintbrush when I am trying to create and image..A very interesting write..Kathie

I've been away from WC for a while, and this poem makes me glad to be back! Fantastic poem.
You make such a common cycle seem new with such specific and unique details. As always, awesome stuff!

Beautiful. Your words paint a memorable picture.
"Sprinkling the ordinary
with imaginar color"
Superb!
You've dealt with the concept of the cycle, or the "pattern", in reference to hope, very skilfully.
Very well written!
