Elusive as the DreamA Poem by Emily Bfor Dostani and The Broken PoetAm I real, today?
|
Three people from across the country had the same dream one dark and rainy night. It affected them so deeply that come morning they were still shaken and wondering. It was the same dream except for each person the big, scary monster was drawn from each person's deepest self doubt. The rain and the doubt didn't begin to lift until the words came.

When I read this, my first thoughts were of the French expression l'heure bleue (Blue hour) - which refers to the hour experienced between the hours of daylight and darkness. This period of the day is considered special, because of the quality of the light.
In the case of your beautifully poetic composition, I found this was because of the quality of the write, which made it special. God's Blessing Phillozofee Posted 16 Years Ago5 of 5 people found this review constructive. |

incredible. There is something so significant in being a poet and inspiring another poet. Although I have often been inspired by others' words...I rarely inspire. Not sure why. But this was exquisite writing.

In dreams we often visit places when we are undecided about something, we are waver between conflicting positions or courses of action, and your poem could be even a spiritual experience without knowing with your friends having the same dream... great poetry!

What an amazing spiritual experience you present! The experience no doubtedly has a great significance and always will. Your writing is great! I loved the beginning: "Am I real, today?"
It reminds me of the first meditation of Descartes when he thinks about whether he's asleep or awake, and what the apparent differences are between the two. Great job with this! Posted 16 Years Ago1 of 1 people found this review constructive. |
I like this one. It's very creative and masterfully written. Makes me imagine what dream they all shared. Nice poem.

I have always liked this one...synchronicity is alive and well...though I have had somewhat of a problem interpreting mine, it seems that you and your friends all are open to sharing theirs and that is always a great thing...amazing the things that happen that are unexplainable!
