PlightA Poem by Emiko TagahushiThis is a poem may not completely make sense because it is based off of one of my characters who struggles with the fact that she has to basically kill others to survive, but please enjoy. :)I
pursued a pitiful, Pointless
life Pinning
prey and prying pricks Picking
and choosing Posing
to poison A pike
in my heart As I
pretended peace Played
piece by piece Only to
perceive my puzzle to pummel A poke
in my pupil And
plenty more pierces in my chest As my
previous prize Became
another prey Just
another piece of the pie And I
continued to pursue that pitiful, painful, pointless life To peel
apart a pure soul Pumping
out piles of blood Piling
unprotected hearts Pages
upon pages of pictures and profiles Of
unknown people Pasted
over with a bloody pen The
pressure of that essence So
precious to prolong my life Pleading
cries pulling at my chest To STOP! Until I
pushed myself into a pit Never to
peer out again At my
pitiful, painfully pointless " © 2015 Emiko TagahushiAuthor's Note
