A MemoryA Poem by Emiko TagahushiThis is another poem I wrote for my Creative Writing class. This is a scene based off of one of my stories.Blood splattered across the floor And I turned to see my mother, dead As tears spilled down my cheeks.
I couldn’t stop him. Now all I could see was red Blood splattered across the floor.
I just wanted to quit. To get the image out of my head. As tears spilled down my cheeks.
A fire was suddenly lit Deep within my soul, it spread Blood splattered across the floor
I forced my father’s chest to split And stared into his wide eyes while he bled As tears spilled down my cheeks.
I wouldn’t dare admit. My parents being killed suppressed in my head. Blood splattered across the floor As tears spilled down my cheeks. © 2015 Emiko TagahushiAuthor's Note
