There's no point in worrying about it

Or trying to please other people

In the end, I am myself

It's simple, but still beautiful. I love poems like this, especially with the last lines emphasized by being put all alone "I am...An Artist" I love it.

Sometimes simple is the way to go. It definately has the theme of identity, but as another reviewer said, genre is irrelevant. I like the verse 'I am what I am and I can only be myself'; accepting that can be hard for most people.

Don't worry about the genre. It is what it is---free verse. I fully relate with this. Short and to the point. I'm glad I discovered this today. Thank you.
