Upon Demise

Upon Demise

A Poem by Leah

A lifetime of film released,

Oozing faintly out of her lips;

His head pulsates rubble,

A wasteland of brain spit;

Lively, deaden orbs affixed,

Naught a beat drummed;

Naught a vessel pumped;

Cradling her corpse, slumped;

Mouth of Tragoedia reigned;

Mask of the breathing, waned;

Blinders of the enduring, strained;

Of equal substance, profaned;

The floe of his countenance,

Rupture so, of a bittered fsu spear;

Velvet sanguinary driblets rained,

For he sputtered clots of lament-

“ O’ Soul of my soul!

Why hast thou bereaved me?

Sayst whenceforth, myne head shall rest?

See myne spirit, now dead as thee…”

The mortal’s grief,

Bemoans o’er gained loss;

O’ why hast this ageless scene,

Held so dear an allure to me?
