Afright

Afright

A Poem by Leah

Orbitally curling into befouled pathos,

Solemnly I swear my pledge to Paeans;

As ships of glass sail over Chaos,

A rhythm of bloom hearkens…

So I embark into nebulous runes;

Chasing mists of bediamonded ghouls;

Absconding amongst the wildest of raccoons,

Escaping vacuous volumes of whirlpools.

‘Tis been aeons after aeons;

Lifeless mountain of myne;

Bordered bottom, a baseless lagoon;

An arduous collection of waning thoughts;

Cells of Wisdom, sere;

Eyes of Knowledge, sere;

Veins of Judgment, sere;

Heart of Yearning, sere;

‘Tis no good now,

As it ‘twas ‘fore;

Yet still my thirst-filled vow,

It ceases to fall as corpse.
