Broken TimeA Poem by EmaleighLynnI wrote this forever ago and promptly forgot about it.More time has passed To make its way Down through your life, Its trials are laid. But in a town, Small, and sweet, Things are different, Here, you see. For time is a something Rather abstract, Here the seconds Do not run back-to-back. No, time is broken, Cracked like a cup, And soon enough, It will all dry up. The monsters of Time, Quick as they are, Will be there at the end, Oh, to devour. Hurry now, child, Run; escape! For you have little time now To escape your fate. Yes, where time is broken, Broken, ‘Tis where the monsters lie in wait. Yes, time is broken, Broken, on the power of those who hate.© 2015 EmaleighLynnAuthor's Note
