The MusicA Poem by EmaleighLynnWrote this while taking exams.I can’t stand it anymore. My brain hurts, My mind screams for release, I want to cry. The music in my ears Pounds a message of, “You can make it,” But the paper in front of me says otherwise. I feel like a failure. Everything in me cries, “You’ll never make it,” “Loser,” “Stupid,” “This is impossible, How could you ever get through it?” There’s only one way to shut them up, My demons. I blast the music, Play it so loud it almost hurts, And remember that Even if he has never met me, He believes in me. Through the songs, He calls, “You can do anything, Because you are the master Of your life.” So if I annoy you With my loud, angry music, You can shut up And cry me a river, The only thing I care about right now Is me.© 2015 EmaleighLynnAuthor's Note
