Rosa's Poem

A poem I wrote for one of my good friend RedRozeNinja's characters. She hasn't written about the character for a while, but I still like this poem.

I’m falling into nothing,

I’m running blind.

Got to get away,

Must leave it all behind.

Everyone I know,

Hidden with no connection.

Lost, my love,

And I’ve no direction.

Everything is gone,

There’s nothing left to hold.

Everything I knew

Is suddenly no more.

Rescue me, I beg.

I scream from the rooftop.

I cannot live this way,

Not another minute.

This life I loathe,

Forced into “love.”

A part of me is broken,

How can I find it again?

A emotional poem. The struggle to find peace after a heartbreak is hard. Description brought to life the pain and suffering of a heartbreak. I like the question at the end. Leave the reader with questions. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Free verse is fine but I would like to have seen some imagery. I don't know the character you mentioned but I get a fair idea. Someone 'forced into love' and feeling pretty desperate!

Yeah, that's the gist of it! I guess to completely understand this you need to know as much about the story and character as I do....... She hadn't even written this part of the story!
