To Far Gone.

To Far Gone.

A Poem by Em
"

This poem is written for one of my dead family members and a really close friend of mine.

"
Anything that is beautiful,
People want to break.
I'm incommutable,
And I don't want to put you through heartache.

But I already did it,
I feel like the bad guy.
I want to slit,
My own thigh.

No I can't do that,
I can't leave.
Can we chat?
I can't let you grieve.

I miss the happy me,
The me when I was with you.
You have the key,
But I'm to subdue.

When you were alive,
You used to call me gorgeous.
You used to make me want to jive,
You were my fortress.

I love you,
Even though you're dead.
I had to sit on the pew,
And look at you on your deathbed.
