You and I

You and I

A Poem by Em

No man or woman could love you as much as i do.

Yet you  still try to hide from pride.

What happened to those days where we would gaze.
We would gaze and gaze but now you dispraise me.

Dispraise is a word I'd not encountered until now. I like that.
Keep writing.

That's something very disappointing and sad.

Took me a bit to figure out how this read, but now I do and find it rather interesting. Short, sweet, but sad too. The only part where it falls flat is Line 3 with the presence of But, yet, and still: "yet" can mean "but" and "still" so to have the "but" there too kind of makes the "yet" doubly redundant......perhaps "and yet you still....." that would fix it....

Well done otherwise!
