My Binder

Hold lined paper
Pockets for loose sheets
A cover and back to personalize, decorate.
It is mine.
It keeps my poetry safe.
The words and thoughts
That have kept me alive.
I will never
Let this binder go.

This is great because a binder/composition book/any other notebook can be so important to us writers, and not just poets either! My life's work used to be kept in composition books before I got my laptop.
