Things I Don't Have

I wish and dream

To be more  like her.

My sister.

To have her smile.

Her laugh.

Her hair.

The things I don't have.

To walk and talk

And attract the eyes of plenty.

The things I don't have.

She's mommy's little girl

While I'm daddy's.

We are so different

But I want us to be the same.

I wish to be her.

Then i won't be so lonely.

if you spend your life wishing to be someone else, you'll always be chasing your tail and ending up disappointed. you are your own unique person....look upon what you do have and let your strengths shine. if you are constantly comparing yourself to someone else, your lack of confidence in your own abilities will be all that shows and all that you feel.......if i can offer the wisdom of years here, be your own person and be proud of it. you are a great writer and i'm sure this is only the surface of what a great person you really are inside......let it shine!
