Tick Tock

Tick Tock

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

The clock is ticking.

Second and minute hands are moving.

Our lives resolve on time

If we decide to sit and breathe,

Time does not stop.

It is our descision to beat time

Or have it beat us.

The clock ticks on and on.

Waiting for us.

I think this is beautiful. The way you relate such a huge idea in a few lines is good, and the repetition serves to clarify the reader's understanding. I makes me think of how time is actually waiting for us.

This is very interesting. I love how you make it seem like we control time, not as a material obstacle in our lives, but that it is to make the decision to get up and go. I mean doesn't it seem like really bad things seem to last extremely long, although good things seem to fly by?

Well this is cute, simple, elegant, and dark. I like it. The third line confuses me a little (I'm not sure if 'resolve' was the word you wanted), but I find little else to pick fault at.
