Stronger

So, I've been cut

I've been burned.

That has made me stronger.

I've been sick

I've tasted smoke

And smelled them as well.

I am still stonger yet.

I have not backed down

Nor have I given up

Though I beg to at times.

this is a strong piece, it is a survivor story. One question though-the one line where you say you tasted smoke and smelled them as well....why is smoke described as a "them"? Wouldn't it be an "it"? keep writing, keep growing. Good job!

May I make one suggestion though? On the lines:
"Nor have I given up
Though I beg at times"
I would suggest rearranging them to:
"Though I beg at times
I have never given up"
Of course I beg you not to let me stiffle your creativity, for who am I to impose my veiw upon your artistic flow. I am glad you continue to write and at this moment I have just come up with a new quote with which to explain my life. Wow, you have inspired me yet again!
