Night of October 3rdA Poem by I Am SvetlanaIt is 9:35 PM on Saturday, October 3rd. My mom rummaging through papers Pacing around the house. The clock on the wall stares at me I try not to notice. The geometric patterned cloth hanging around the white stove handle My mom's cell phone charging on the counter. A bowl of butter cookies sits by the coffee pot. I am at the table, writing Putting pieces of popcorn into my mouth as I think and scribble. This is that life that I live. The one with tiled floors, wooden cabinets and cold toilet seats. Air blowing through closed windows. Making me shiver under my sweatshirt. Wish there was someone to talk to Some who would listen But there is only this notebook The notebook of my thoughts. © 2009 I Am SvetlanaReviews
