Grudges of Silence

Grudges of Silence

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

I feel angry and alone

People don't believe what I say when I apalogize

Tears flow down my face as I am betrayed

My lies are not accounted for anymore

Not in this life

Not everyone will continue to believe you

I don't mean to betray you

I don't want to

Believing myself is the key to my living

No one else believe's me, not today, nor tomorrow

Will you believe me ten or twenty years from now?

If not, I can deal with it

Slowly I fall apart

And soon I shall be the dirt on the road in which we walk, bike and drive

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, huh? Too true unfortunately...melancholy as it is, this poem reaches and achieves.

SpellCheck more, dear one, but all in all, Good job!

nice poem. I think that it really speaks out as one of those people with whom noone pays attention to, and in going along life all by themselves they eventually fall apart. its nice how you put it metaphorically so that it is captivating. Keep writing poetry! (by the way, you spelled apologize wrong)
