A Poem by I Am Svetlana

All the messages left unopened.
Poems about a girl I used to love.

The moment I heard her laugh,
makes me wish I had stayed.
I could see the light in her laugh.
At the heart of this,
I left no part of her untouched.
There is nothing in this world
like a single wildflower.
Like trying to catch
lightning in a bottle
before a terrible storm.

I bought fresh roses
to help grieve my broken heart.

Has the sound of after looking back at before. Sometimes "a terrible storm" can make us idealize earlier times. Life, though, is only now.
