Blurred Vision

Blurred Vision

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

I learned it's okay to be disappointed.
Even if a love for me
didn't have a home in your heart.
It couldn't last beyond lustful moments.
You caught me slipping into
a bottle of emotions,
then made me cuddle with the pain.
It was what made you
feel less dead inside.
No more kisses coming at the right time,
pulling confessions out of our lips.
Yes, we were once a couple in love.
Blurred vision just
left us homeless & bruised.
Believed in things that weren't real.
Words written on beach sand
being washed away.

I really liked these lines:

'a bottle of emotions,
then made me cuddle with the pain.'

and

'pulling confessions out of our lips.'

I also liked 'blurred vision' which makes me think of tears or rain on car windows.

Thanks for sharing. This is life in its beautiful unpleasantness.
