Couldn't Stay

Crying on the bedroom floor

to grieve a broken heart.

People leave with no answers,

leaving you in a state

of constant waiting.

If they couldn't stay,

why did you let them know

your heart had room?

Misery in your eyes,

there's nothing left to disappear.

Everybody said--when the wind whistles,

the stars make it obvious.

From my heart to yours,

I aim to ease all the ache.
