Soulmate Formula

Soulmate Formula

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

I've forgiven myself
for the night we met.
After the door closed,
I felt like the
last person on Earth.
I'm talking to
an empty phone,
waiting for the
rain to wash away.

Forgive me for
being a dreamer,
but I take you
in my heart.
Hope for a miracle
straight from a bottle.
A pure, raw connection.
To find the formula
for what makes soulmates.

What a beautiful, achingly wondrous flow of heart and soul. You speak of your journey, and somehow you speak into us all... all who are seeking this place of deeper life... of deeper love. So powerful... x

There is no doubt of the speaker's sincerity here. Apparently there was some disagreement, if I am reading stanza one correctly, and now the speaker is trying desperately to reestablish connection. Soulmate is a romantic concept; perhaps it expects too much of a mere human being. Whatever, good luck.
