A Single Being

A Single Being

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

Walks in the rain kept alive
our happiest memories.
My heart was born a wolf,
though I'll deny it with a smile.
A part of us will live forever,
but what turned us into graveyards?
Was it the density of my soul
I continuously mourned?
The fact that I was
often interrogated by darkness?
It seems too much to ask
to find another who loves
my monsters as much as I.
All it takes is a single,
enlightened being to perhaps
save me from impending doom.
