Silence Doesn't LastA Poem by I Am Svetlana
Have you ever felt so alone
that silence began to eat you from the inside out? It continuously gnaws at the core, making it impossible to feel anything at all. I've been there. I'm sure we all have. But there is always a way out. Ignore the ticking of the clock. Put your headphones on. Take a deep breath and simply focus on the pen in your hand. Imagine all the pages your words could fill! All the magic caged within to set free. Then...just let your thoughts go. Don't think. Don't even think about thinking. Allow the pen to glide across the page, smooth like an ice skater, Pour every emotion out, feel the air return to your lungs. Trust me, you're never alone. I've been there and silence doesn't last forever. © 2016 I Am SvetlanaAuthor's Note
