Silence Doesn't Last

Have you ever felt so alone
that silence began to eat you from the inside out?
It continuously gnaws at the core,
making it impossible to feel anything at all.
I've been there.
I'm sure we all have.
But there is always a way out.

Ignore the ticking of the clock.
Put your headphones on.
Take a deep breath
and simply focus on the pen in your hand.
Imagine all the pages your words could fill!
All the magic caged within to set free.

Then...just let your thoughts go.
Don't think.
Don't even think about thinking.
Allow the pen to glide across the page,
smooth like an ice skater,
Pour every emotion out,
feel the air return to your lungs.
Trust me, you're never alone.
I've been there and
silence doesn't last forever.

Whenever you feel the most lost, it's best to just write it all out & stay true to yourself.

Ah, I love this wonderful write. Upbeat and positive, well done. I agree as well, sometimes the hardest part of writing is merely getting the pen to paper, or finger to key haha. I really enjoyed the part about being caged with creativity, as I often feel this way. It takes a certain mood for me to actually write because I know how emotionally exhausting it is for me to do so.
