Sadness Shadow

Sadness.
Hours of wasted time.
Look what you've
done to me.
Letting the demons set in.
I'm doing the best I can,
but breaking every minute.
We really were one...
Sadness and I.
It would forever
be my shadow.

This one is harsh.

You didn't write a poem.
You wrote emotions, you confessed them.

It is beautiful, as most honest things are.
But it also upsets me.
How can someone succumb to sadness like that?
You were not defeated. You embraced pain.

But that is your choice to make.
Never give up, never let go, easier said then done. I know.
Anyway, I enjoyed your poem.

Thank you so much for your review! I really appreciate your opinion and advice. We all express pain differently and it's better for me to write it out than to allow it to consume me from the inside. I think that is why writing is so easy for me and powerful.

My writing is somewhat childish, but I like it that way.

It's perfectly alright for writing to be childish! No matter how old we are, we still have that child side of us. I still get excited about Disney movies at my age and I feel childish writing is good cause it's able to make people smile and believe in something.

You're very welcome. I am sad to know I have to wait 3 more years for it! I was just watching the first one on tv awhile ago. Haha. And yeah, I wrote this poem a few days ago cause of how I've been feeling lately.

I"ll be sure to read it now before I go to bed. Work just been stressing me out this week, plus a friend of mine passed away earlier this week also, so it's been tough for me trying to stay in a good mental place overall. I have good days, but it's hard to keep it together every minute of each day, you know?
