Mirror ChancesA Poem by I Am Svetlana
The mirror is my enemy.
It shows me what I cannot be. I hang by threads, Begging for sympathy. I crawl across porcelain, Reaching towards the glass. Praying for my only reflection To give me a second chance. It shakes its head With a sneer on its face. I wish I were dead. Another day I could erase. Mirror, mirror On the wall. I give you my reflection, I owe you my all. © 2013 I Am SvetlanaReviews
