Yesterday

Yesterday

A Poem by Emram19

Yesterday, he still looked deep in my brown eyes.
Now today, his looks are far bent aside.
He would sit there until the song birds reached the haven
But today all he sees are the dark feathers on the raven.

Yesterday, he taught me how to live in a raging fire.
He threw me there, then abandon me on ice while standing higher.
Even in hell, "What is it I did to you?" I shall demand!
It's all too hard for me to understand.

Yesterday he laid gazing at me, right by my side.
Even compared my beauty to empires that never died.
Suddenly, he let his hands fall open
And my life tumbled out now very broken.
