An Attempt

An Attempt

A Poem by Elyse8Francesca
"

What I need to learn

"
To learn how to let go
To allow pleasure in the moment to enter, peacefully, and go, peacefully
I will trip over rocks that aren't even there
To stop kicking a dead horse, and then coming back later hoping it lived through it
To learn that this is illogical in its essence
I will never leave the side of this body of a beautiful being I once knew
To learn that sensation does not last forever
To allow the sensation to manifest in me at the moment, and accept that it is not permanent
Pleasure will become pain, and pain sticks longer than pleasure
To know how to let yourself heal
To stop blaming yourself for anothers' action
Begin to recognize your absence as their misfortune
To find peace in the silence after belligerence
To understand that we are all spiteful beings
Notice that some are better at hiding their skeletons than others
To love yourself
To be part of something greater
I will notice the beginning of pleasure that will never leave me tripping over rocks that aren't even there

" trip over rocks that aren't even there" ... this line rocks itself. very cleverly penned. furthermore, i just enjoyed reading this so philosophical verse. it's seemed more like a self-help poetry that keeps nurturing one's heart to get healed up.

last 3 lines're absolutely one of my damn fav. esp the line: "pleasure will become pain, and pain sticks longer than pleasure"... how true! may be, you're well experienced of such things people keep passing throu', perhaps, you also have got some hot knacks to nailed things down in such... poetic words. excellent!

yo!! Buffalo, NY, you got me, gal!! xoxo
