Who Knew?A Poem by ElyriaMainePeople do not know when their lives will end. But who knew, some of us would go too soon.Who Knew? For you're a friend, but indeed I'll be gone, The laughter, the joy, will be all done. The mem'ries that you and I share, Problems encounters, we did bear.
Who knew, through the years, our friendship was no more, My days are numbered, as my days start to soar. Before I'll be gone, I'll leave you this note, Hoping that you'll remember, that you're life has a worth.
You lifted my spirit, when I am down, Letting me smile; removing my frown. Saying to me, that they are all wrong, Knowing that, in a short while, I'll be gone.
Who knew that I would disappear from this world? My eyes start to water; everything's in a blur. Who knew, oh to soon, I will die? Who knew, that this would be the end of my life?
Dearest friend, put in your mind, That I will never leave your side. 'Cause will be best of friend, forever me and you, This life of mine will disappear, but who knew? © 2013 ElyriaMaineReviews
