He Knows Just How It Is Done

By Elton Camp

From café tip, a boy did what he shouldn’t oughter

He picked up and proceeded to swallow a quarter

His father, in a panic, the choking boy tried to help

While, desperately for assistance, he began to yelp

A man at the next table, calmly the boy did take

Held him by his feet and began to violently shake

Quarter fell out and clanged right down to the floor

The man put it in his pocket & started out the door

But before the man the exit could get through

Father: “Thank you!  How’d you know what to do?”

“I am an expert at shaking out money, it’s true.

Because I work in collections for Internal Revenue.”
