What Is Yours Should Be Mine

By Elton Camp

The one with kin to call her “Honey”

Is the old lady who has some money

They can hardly wait for her to croak

Until then. funds they will try to choke

If, by hinting, they don’t get their way

They will ask her their debts to pay

“Honey, I am in this more terrible tight

To help me out, I know you’ll delight.”

They promise that it will only be a loan

The truth is that her money will be gone

Once the funds they manage to win,

They’ll never mention the “loan” again

“Aunt Suzy, I do so need a new car, Hon.

It would be so nice if you’d buy me one.”

“You know it would be with great speed

I’d help you out if you ever have need.”

It’s amazing how many you would find

With noses stuck up Aunt Suzy’s behind

But if she should ever come to need help

“I can’t be bothered with that,” they yelp

I love this! It's so true. I guess I'm lucky to have so few relatives....
