Like Shadows on a Wall

Like Shadows on a Wall

A Poem by Elton Camp
"

The inner person remains secret.

"

Like Shadows on a Wall

By Elton Camp

Their shapes and sizes we know

But few of the details, though

The shadows we see move about

The substances is there, no doubt

People dance through life, hidden

Access to their hearts is forbidden

We mustn’t reveal what is inside

That, once told, cannot be denied

Thoughts and feels we don’t dare

With any other people to share

Death comes and takes us away

Forever safe our secrets will stay
