An Example of Road Rage?

By Elton Camp

I was out on a country road for a drive

About a coming car I said, “Man, alive!”

Driver was going around a sharp curve

Badly out of control, he began to swerve

As we just barely escaped a collision

I heard a shout that I thought derision

“Hog!” is the word the driver did yell

I thought, “You’re the hog.  Go to hell.”

I rounded the curve & got another view

Saw that what he said was literally true

For the single word he had time to say

Was actually meant in a helpful way

For standing in the road was a huge sow

I veered & missed her but don’t know how
