There are many successful long-term marriages, none of them perfect.

Until Death Do Us Part

By Elton Camp

A perfect marriage has never been known

The history of mankind has clearly shown

Even the first human pair, we must confess,

Of their union made a most terrible mess

Abraham and Sarah come along right clean

Until Hagar and Ishmael came on the scene

Kings David and Solomon had great lives

But both had trouble due to too many wives

Especially today, the divorce rate is too high

To succeed, many couple don’t seriously try

As soon as any friction or trouble comes along

The partners will be singing their “swan song”

Yet there are couples, who from when they begin

Are going to stick together through thick and thin

This is based on the wisdom that comes from above

Helped by the fact that each other they truly love
