Sue had a sudden change of diet.

The Distracted Driver

By Elton Camp

Behind the wheel, Sue won’t use her cell phone

But she eats while driving anytime she is gone

She grasps a king-sized burger in her right hand

With the left, take a slurp of her drink so grand

Without a third hand to use to drive the car

So then down the road she didn’t go very far

For just when she turned to take another bite

She careened off an embankment on the right

The car plunged so fast it went out of control

It flipped en-to-end and then began to roll

And just as it slammed headlong into a tree

The folly of eating while driving Sue did see

And on that tragic day, the gods she meets

Now ambrosia is the only food that she eats
