Judging a Claim by Its Results

By Elton Camp

It is quite a presumptuous call

Fortune teller sees, knows all

If the future she is able to see

Why in a trailer would she be

If she, in advance, knows all

It includes stocks to rise or fall

And perhaps even better yet

On sports results how to bet

In a mansion she’d reside

And in a limo she’d ride

How little effort it would take

This is how I know she’s fake

(Written after observing a fortune teller advertsing extravagant claims while living in a grubby travel trailer.)
