Amish Visit the New Mall

By Elton Camp

A new mall opened in the rural town

For the first time Amish came around

The father decided the buggy to park

While wife and son inside did embark

They watched a fat old man step into

An elevator, a thing they never knew

“Mama, what’s that?” the little boy said

Confused, the woman shook her head

Minutes later the doors opened again

A sight made the woman’s head spin

A handsome man stepped thru the door

Where the ugly man had been before

“Child, obey me now without fear.

Go tell thy father to come in here.”
